Dr. Omar Ali

Dr. Omar Ali, political historian and associate professor in the African American Studies program, and three UNCG students from various parts of the AFS program, were featured on C-SPAN as part of a political conference in New York City. The National Conference of Independents was held at New York University’s Tisch School of the Performing Arts in Manhattan. Ali brought eleven students to New York City for the event and all were present for the reception the night before the C-SPAN event occurred, as well as for the conversations and presentations that followed.
