The UNCG men’s basketball team’s National Invitation Tournament (NIT) game against Syracuse has been postponed due to a winter storm.

The first-round game, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, will now be played at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Carrier Dome. The broadcast will be moved from ESPN to ESPN2.

The Greensboro Coliseum will host a free viewing party for Spartan fans. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Wednesday’s match-up against Syracuse marks the team’s second-ever appearance in the NIT. Head Coach Wes Miller and company won the Southern Conference regular season title and finished the year with a 25-9 overall record, the best record in the 50-year history of the program. The Spartans advanced to the SoCon Tournament finals, falling at the last second to East Tennessee State.
