As our students, alumni, faculty and staff are reunited with their families and spend time celebrating the joys of this holiday season, let us also take time to be grateful.

We live in a wonderful community and learn or work at a world-class university. Yet, our world is filled with strife and tension, and we must be mindful of those in our community and around the world who are facing poverty, war, homelessness and heartbreak.

We hope that during this holiday season you enjoy your break, but you also take time to reflect on the many blessings in your life and seek out ways to help those in need.

We look forward to another great year here at UNCG in 2016.
