UNCG Director of Athletics Kim Record has been honored by the National Association of Collegiate Director of Athletics (NACDA). She was named one of 28 Under Armour AD of the Year Award recipients.

She will receive the award during the James J. Corbett Awards Luncheon June 11 at NACDA’s 49th Annual Convention.

Record is concluding her fifth year at the helm of UNCG, overseeing 17 men’s and women’s sports. Since arriving, Record has reshaped and revamped the athletic department across the board. During her tenure at UNCG, Record has implemented ‘The Spartan Way’ strategic plan in an effort to ensure the continued success and future improvement of Spartan Athletics.

Under her leadership, UNCG has claimed nine Southern Conference regular season team titles, four SoCon Tournament championships and 18 SoCon Individual Championships. Additionally, the Spartans have placed 569 student-athletes on the SoCon Academic Honor Roll in her five years at UNCG, an average of 113 student-athletes per season.

Record coordinates fundraising and operation of the Spartan Club, which surpassed its annual scholarship fund goal for the last three years and has set a new all-time record for the fund in consecutive years.

Record, who served on the NCAA Championships cabinet in 2012-13, is also the vice-chair of the Greensboro Sports Commission, an active member with the Greensboro Rotary, a member of the Greensboro Sports Council and a member of the Women’s Professional Forum.
