Dr. Bruce Kirchoff, professor in the Department of Biology, was named one of this year’s winners of the annual UNC Awards for Teaching Excellence, as reported by the News & Record. The award goes to one faculty member at each of the 17 UNC schools.

Kirchoff has worked at UNCG since 1986 and the school credits him with teaching, developing, and revising numerous courses.  In 2007, he founded a company called Metis Learning that produces a free visual learning software.

Winners of the award were nominated by a panel on their home campuses and selected by a Board of Governors committee.
