An article by YES! Weekly recognized UNCG for its sustainable practices on campus.

Some examples of UNCG’s sustainability measures include the fact that nine of the university’s buildings are LEED certified, a green building certification, and the formation of a sustainable tourism and hospitality course, which is taught by the Bryan School of Business and Economics and the first of its kind in the country.

UNCG also has a new position on the campus, an academic sustainability coordinator, which helps to bring sustainability into the classroom through various disciplines.
