Students from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College are enjoying an international business experience through X-Culture, a program developed by Dr. Vas Taras of UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics.

WBTV of Charlotte reported that the seven students, along with Karen Lynden, business administration and marketing instructor, are participating in X-Culture, a program that places students all over the world in teams. Together, the teams collaborate to solve real-world challenges from real companies. RCCC is the first community college accepted into the program.

Each student will be assigned to a team comprised of members from different countries. All projects are done outside of class, the station reported. One of RCCC’s librarians is helping Lynden put together a workshop on the tools the students will need to collaborate successfully.
